Back then, wearing gloves was a must for women, and it must have been a fabulous era for glove enthusiasts like me. Of course, Marilyn Monroe influenced the development of Joyce\u2019s character, but I also drew inspiration from my maternal grandmother, who was a strong and charismatic woman. And including a lesbian in a story set in that era was, for me, essential, to show that gay people existed back then, and indeed have always existed.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/glovemania.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/joyce0001.jpg\")
