Inspiration: I drew inspiration for Gabriela from the character Gladys, played by Laura Ramos in the Spanish series *Entrevías*. I loved Gladys’s spirited nature and channeled some of that into Gabriela’s personality. I was also determined to include a Hispanic female character, known for their passionate nature and fiery temperament. Making Gabriela a tall, heterosexual police officer fit perfectly with the direction her character would take upon joining Maeva’s team.
